Clean and healthy skin is vital to me; I am fanatical about going to bed without a trace of make up on my face and keeping my skin free from congestion and chemical exposure so I am forever on the hunt for a really brilliant and effective cleanser to remove make up and clean my face. I'm fairly time poor so I love a multipurpose face cleanser that will remove make up and cleanse at the same time.

Over the past few months I have been trialing some different cleansers and I have found my 4 favourite which coincidentally fall under different budgets. Handy, I know :)

Now, I have combination skin, however I err on the side of dry and definitely have mature skin beyond my years. I tend to have drier areas around my eyes and smile lines that could combat any trench. I also tend to breakout in the hormonal areas around that time of month on occasion. I get mildly oily areas around my upper T-zone, but nothing too serious. A little bit of everything, so it can be difficult to find a perfect cleanser, oil, serum, moisturizer to accommodate all of these conditions. Hence when I find something I love, I let everyone know about it.

So here are my top 3 cleansers....(click on the brand name for redirection to their website)

Edible Beauty No.1 Cleansing Milk

This is a gorgeous Australian brand run by a woman, Anna Mitsios, who is a Naturopath and Nutritionist and firmly believes in nourishing and caring the mind, body and soul from the inside out. She has not fallen short on luxury with this item and it truly is a stunning piece of work.

It is a gentle coconut milk cleanser which surrenders the facial dirt and impurities and simply washes them away without a glitch. It is a very gentle cream based cleanser, suitable for all skin types, which smell like heaven on earth with melon and citrus scents while somehow calming the senses and relaxing the body.

It purifies the skin while hydrating and leave you feeling as though you have cleansed and moisturized all in one. Ingredients such as Apple extract aid in anti-pigmentation effects and Strawberry extract helps to boost radiance and glow. Additional ingredients such as the Australian Wattle Seed assist in maintaining and restoring skin elasticity while helping to refine pores. The coconut oil is designed to balance the bodies natural oil production thereby not stripping or disrupting the face while cleansing.

This is a gloriously luxurious cleanser which performs as it suggests. This is my go-to for when I need a boost and when I need some extra self love and pampering. A must have for those more luxurious moment.

All skin types, especially sensitive skin.

Faerie Organic Goat Milk and Wildflower Cleanser

Faerie Organics was founded in 2007 by the gorgeous and talented Erin Mincks. Erin began creating her ingenious products after the loss of both her parents from cancer, which prompted her to question the level of toxicity in our skincare and cosmetic ranges. She is a beauty in her own right and so gifted in her ability to create skincare and cosmetics for sensitive skin while still maintaine dhte integrity and quality of the highest quality products.

I absolutely adore everything that Faerie Organic produce. I started with their cosmetics and thought I'd give their skincare a go....amazed!

This cream cleanser has a similar texture to the Edible Beauty, as reviewed above, however is a little creamier and has a more raw luxe feel to it. I would definitely liken it to the Edible beauty Milk Cleanser. It does have an aroma that is a blend of goats milk and essential oils such as lavender and rose. I adore these essential oils and so I took to this cleanser immediately. If scent is important to you and you'd prefer a more luxe, day spa kind of vibe then the Edible Beauty is more for you, however this cleanser is on par for performance and scent in my eyes.

It also leaves the skin feeling completely cleansed of impurities and moisturized, leaving the need for a serum or moisturizer optional. It is designed to natural cleanse and nourish the skin with active ingredients and antioxidants so it encourages the skin to be radiant and boosts natural oil production rather than stripping it dry. It is a soap free cleanser and Faerie recommend using a toner to follow.

Its feature ingredients include...

* Goat's Milk - containing lactic acid which breaks down and removed dead skin to leave a more refreshed and radiant face. It is enriched with vitamins A (designed to aid in softening wrinkles and fine lines and reduce tissue damage), E, C and B as well as citric acids, amino acids, zinc and unsaturated fatty acids.

* Lavender – an antiseptic and antifungal. Lavender is often used to treat skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, wrinkles and inflammatory skin disorders. It aids in the healing process and improves the appearance of scars.

* Licorice Root- a traditional Chinese herb which is rich in flavonoids and glycyrrhizin. These components are utilised for their anti-inflammatory properties and aid in skin conditions such as eczema and uneven skin tine. It also helps to brighten the skin.

Water, *lavender hydrosol, *aloe vera juice, *sunflower oil, meadowfoam oil, cetearyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate, goat milk, *shea butter, *olive oil, *ginseng extract, *algae extract, *licorice extract, *gingko biloba extract, *glycerine (veggie), *green tea extract, *chamomile extract, sodium hyluoronate, xantham gum (non gmo), sodium benzoate, gluconolactone, leuconostoc/radish root ferment filtrate, vitamin e

Clean Living Collection Organic Cleansing “Cold” Cream

Beautiful Ariel from Clean Living Collection is a qualified Psychologists and Neuroscientist with a huge talent in creating skincare that is non toxic, non GMO, organic, raw and powerful to say the least. She is passionate and I adore how much I’ve been able to get to know her and been blessed enough to try her incredible ‘Cold’ Cream Cleanser!

This cleanser comes in two different options, one for dry/mature skin (Hemp and Green Tea) and Oily, Acneic and Sensitive Skin (Chamomile Rose).

I chose the Hemp and Green Tea as my skin tends towards dry and definitely mature type.

This cleansing cream is a blended consistency that resembles a cream and a gel. I really love this cleanser. It feels extremely nourishing and offers so much hydration and moisture that again, very little moisturizer is required, if any at all. The instructions suggest applying a tiny amount to your face once cleansed and dry. I do this often when my skin doesn’t need much else and it is heaven. It works well as a make up remover, cleanser and moisturizer. Who doesn’t love a multi-tasker! It is borax free making it a yellow tinted cream, unlike traditional white ‘cold’ creams. This smells like a little pot of floral heaven with a little truly going a long way. Always a bonus!

It definitely has that luxe feel but at a fraction of the price. I highly recommend this product. It is in a tub rather than a pump pack so it is recommended to use a spoon or clean fingers to remove.

This cleanser is non toxic, non GMO and contains no preservatives.
Herbal brew of *green tea and *calendula flowers, *sweet almond oil, *macadamia nut oil, *hemp seed oil, *alow vera gel, beeswax, *jasmine essential oil, *rosemary antioxidant (CO2), non GMO vitamin E

Lewin&Reilly Macadamia and White Cypress Face Cleansing Cream
Lewin&Reilly Olive and Kakadu Plum Cleansing Oil

I have include both of these because I like to use them in combination. I find the combination is perfect for a make up remover and face cleanser without creating congestion or the need for double cleanse.
The scent that Lewin&Reilly product emit are the most incredible smells that generate an experience to warrant feeling as though you are stuck in a day spa.
The formulations are gentle, using organic, beautifully and respectfully sourced and handled ingredients.

The Macadamia and White Cypress Face Cleansing Cream is like a lightweight moisturizer that leaves the face feeling cleansed and hydrated. You truly could skip the moisturizer stage of your routine with the use of this beautiful element. I use this in isolation on days when I don't wear make up or don't need to remove eye make up and it is incredibly effective.

The Olive and Kakadu Plum Cleansing Oil is lightweight also and a gorgeous oil cleanser for those who prefer to use oil. I adore this and it removes make up and cleanses the face extremely well, however with my skin type I feel I need the cream addition to minimise the feeling of clogged pores.
I use this in isolation if I have dry skin in mid winter or been exposed to the elements and my skin is left needing hydration and topical nourishment.
